Becky and Tom said their “I dos” on a lovely spring day, April 11, 2015, surrounded by the rolling green landscape of The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club. It was a celebration full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
We sat down with the happy couple to ask them a few questions about their day and to relive some of the most joyous moments of their lives!
“The Nottinghamshire was the first venue we looked at. It had been recommended by a friend and we fell in love at first sight. We were really apprehensive before our first viewing as we thought it would be way out of our budget, but it was by far the nicest, with the most helpful staff.
We looked at two other Nottingham wedding venues that we’d already made appointments for after The Nottinghamshire, but they didn’t even come close.”

“When we realised our wedding was on the same day as the Grand National, we knew we had to incorporate it into the theme. It inspired our wedding favours, and we even had the race shown on the big screen in the lounge for our guests to enjoy! Beyond that, we found loads of inspiration from visiting wedding fayres, flipping through magazines, and of course, our favourite – Pinterest. It all came together perfectly!”
“With our wedding being a spring wedding, I knew I wanted a pastel shade colour theme. When we went bridesmaid dress shopping, I just fell in love with the mint colour and absolutely love how well it all worked on the day.”

“At our church rehearsal, the vicar told me to just enjoy the four minutes it should apparently take to walk down the aisle. However, I wanted to run down it! I really wish I had remembered more of that walk and took it a bit steadier, but I really couldn’t wait to be with Tom.”
“The service seemed to go really quickly. I loved the hymns we chose, however, not many people sung along, and so we wish we had hired the choir.
When it came to the best man giving the rings, he did the typical ‘oh poo, where are they’ joke, which all our guests found hilarious – the vicar on the other hand, didn’t!”
“We can honestly say we enjoyed every minute of our day. From the moment we woke up, till the minute we fell asleep, it really was a dream come true. However, one special moment for me, other than saying our vows, was when we gathered all our guests in a circle for the last dance”.
“All of our friends and family were gathered around us, holding hands, as we played Take That’s ‘never forget’. We then danced in the middle, and when the chorus came on, all our guests held their hands up and sang along.
It was absolutely perfect and at the end of the song our parents and siblings came and joined us in a group embrace.”
Their special day was filled with countless memorable moments. As Tom said: “It was everything we dreamed of and more.” The couple’s joy was captured beautifully in a heart-warming wedding video, allowing them to relive the happiest day of their lives whenever they choose.
