The Championship Course

Comprising a front nine, set around an impressive lake and waterways complex that not only offers a golfing challenge but is also home to a considerable amount of wildlife.

The back nine offers a real challenge with mature trees strategically placed to make it a true parkland course. In recent times, we have been working with Kimber Golf, a world-renowned Scottish Golf Architect company who have transformed what was an already wonderful golf course, into a truly magnificent one. We’ve made significant changes to both the 12th and 18th holes by introducing new tees, further strategically placed trees and water features to enhance your golfing experience.

In late 2017 we once again improved the complex for both members and pay as you play visitors by relocating and adding a second putting green to allow more people to practice their putting. We are reducing the 1st hole into a par 4 for men which involves filling in the ditch across the fairway removing some of the hedgings on both sides and adding a new fairway bunker at 230 yards. To give the shot back, we have decided to make the very tough 4th hole a par 5 played from the existing tee. The Championship Course is now known throughout the Midlands as a true test of golf and one that keeps on challenging our players.

The Signature Course

was extended back in 1997 from a 9-hole to an 18-hole course, with the new nine designed by Peter Alliss.

The front nine has recently undergone major renovation and remodelling and combines hedgerows and undulating fairways with large greens and water features.

Remodelling on The Signature Course has significantly improved both the design and aesthetics of this course, and several new tees have been added.

The 10th hole on the Signature Course was perhaps considered as our “Signature Hole”, a 136 yard par 3 over water to a wide but shallow green, with an approach that rolls back to the water. That honour now goes to the stunning 18th. The substantial lake around the 10th green and 11th tee is sensitively managed to enhance both aquatic and birdlife and is also the home of the 11th tee, which is on a peninsula in the middle of the lake.

In late 2016 we took the bold step to change the layout of the Signature Course, one that has proved a very popular decision. We also invested heavily on the course and the playing conditions have improved tenfold.

The new 18th hole which once was the 9th and a long slog of a par 4, is now a beautifully thought out par 5 with a meandering stream at driving distance. Your approach shot to the green is over water to a fantastic island green, a hole you will never forget….
