How did you choose your Nottingham wedding venue?

“We wanted a Nottingham wedding venue near where we got engaged at Langar Hall. After looking at a few options, we fell completely in love with The Nottinghamshire. The decor, layout, and grounds were just perfect. We knew as soon as we saw it that it was the one.” – Katy

What was your wedding theme and how did you incorporate it?

“We decided on a navy and white theme with pops of pink and lots of sparkle, we wanted to inject our personalities into the wedding as much as possible. We had so much fun designing a lot of the elements ourselves, like the invites, favours, and table plan.  We got a lot of inspiration from Pinterest and Google Images. We also worked with Cakey Wakey to choose stunning crystal candelabras that complemented our theme perfectly.” – Wayne

How did you feel about the planning process?

“Working with The Nottinghamshire was a breeze. They were so helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. We never felt stressed or overwhelmed. The meetings were really helpful, and we felt confident that they knew exactly what we wanted. It made the planning process so much easier.” – Katy

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?

“The ceremony was definitely the most special moment for us. As soon as I walked into the room, I burst out crying. Seeing all our loved ones there was so overwhelming. And then when Katy struggled to put my ring on, it was a funny and memorable moment.” – Wayne

“I’ll never forget walking down the aisle and seeing Wayne’s face. It was a mix of excitement and nerves, but mostly just pure joy.” – Katy

What do you love most about your wedding photos?

“We love all of our photos, both inside the cube and out in the grounds. The lake and willow trees are so beautiful. Even though it was windy, it actually made our photos more interesting.  Our photographers, Forever Young Photography, did an amazing job capturing the day perfectly.” – Katy

Would you change anything about your wedding?

“We wouldn’t change a thing! It was the best day of our lives. We had so much fun and everything went exactly as we had hoped. We’re so grateful for the memories we made.” – Wayne

“I agree. We’re both very happy with how our wedding turned out. The only thing is that we wish we could do it all over again because it was so perfect.” – Katy
